Camera-Ready Manuscript Instruction

Congratulations on your paper acceptance for VLSI Design 2008 conference!

Please adhere to the following guidelines, while preparing your camera ready paper(s) for the proceedings and subsequently your presentation for the conference

Manuscript Submission DEADLINE:
Camera ready papers are due by 5.00 PM Indian Standard Time, October 26, 2007. The following is a URL link to the "Author's Final Paper Formatting and Submission Instructions" web page for the 21st International Conference on VLSI Design 2008:

  • Please read the instructions carefully. Please note that any manuscripts that do not conform to the guidelines provided in the link above will not be included in the proceedings.

  • You can find the following information at the site and please follow all steps to ensure that the submission process is completed successfully:

    1. Paper Specifications.
    2. Important Deadlines.
    3. Formatting your Paper.
    4. PDF eXpress Online File Conversion/PDF Validation Tool.
    5. Renaming your PDF File for Submission.
    6. Submitting a Copyright Release Form.
    7. Final PDF File Submission.
    8. Ordering Reprints (optional).
  • Submit the final PDF directly to the IEEE site following the above steps.

  • The names of the authors in the camera-ready version must match with the names of the authors in the original submission.

  • Camera-ready Manuscript Page Limit: Please note that you should restrict your camera ready paper length to 6 pages only (Please note that this year, all accepted regular papers are allotted 6 pages and we do not have short paper or poster category).

  • Additional Pages:  There is a very limited number of pages available for purchase of additional pages. A maximum of 2 extra pages may be purchased on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS at the rate of U.S. $200 per page and you MUST obtain by email prior approval from the Publications chairs, Dr. Nagi Naganathan (Email:[email protected]) and Dr. C.P.Ravikumar (Email: [email protected]).

  • Copyright Release form: Follow the instructions to complete the Copyright release form and send the completed form to reach IEEE by Oct 26, 2007. Your paper cannot be included in the proceedings if we do not receive the copyright release. We will not send you reminders to send the copyright release form.   • Page Charges: If your paper exceeds 6 pages and you wish to purchase extra pages, you must send the check to Dr. Nagi Naganathan for the additional pages immediately. The check must be issued payable to “VLSI DESIGN” and must be in U.S. dollars issued to a bank that has a branch in the U.S. Dr. Naganathan’s address is given below.

  • Registration and Presentation: It is mandatory for one of the authors of the paper to register and present the paper at the conference. Your manuscript will not be included in the proceedings unless one of the authors has registered. All accepted regular papers will be given 20 minutes (15 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A). You must upload the foils in Power Point format no later than December 10, 2007. A template will be provided for preparation of slides. Your foils will be reviewed by the session chair and feedback will be provided to you. You must revise your foils and submit the final version no later than Dec 21, 2007.

  • Biography: In addition, you should also send a brief biography of the speaker (only) to your session chair no later than Dec 21, 2007. The biography must not be longer than 3 to 4 lines and must include only salient details such as education, professional experience, any awards, research interests.

  • The conference schedule will be published soon. You must be present at the venue of your session at least 15 minutes before your session starts.
