CALL FOR TUTORIALS ()
The International Conference on VLSI Design is a forum for researchers and designers to present and discuss various aspects of VLSI Design, electronic design automation (EDA), and VLSI technologies. It covers the entire spectrum of activities which drive the semiconductor industry.
The
International Conference on Embedded Systems Design seeks to draw researchers and practitioners of the rapidly evolving and challenging field of embedded systems. It covers all aspects of embedded systems design including specification, implementation, validation and integration. The joint conference will feature regular paper sessions, short paper sessions, special sessions, panel discussions, and industrial exhibits. In addition, the conference will also feature full-day tutorials
on recent topics in VLSI design, EDA, VLSI technology, and embedded systems.
Proposal for tutorials are invited on topics related to, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Nanometer Design Challenges.
- Formal and Semi-formal Verification.
- Advances in Processor Architectures.
- Design, Verification and Test of RF, Mixed Signal and Analog Systems.
- System-in-Package.
- Methodologies for Design, Co-Design and Analysis for Embedded Systems.
- Advances in Physical Design and Physical Synthesis.
- Developments and Breakthroughs in SoC Verification.
- Statistical Timing Analysis.
- MEMS
- Design Techniques for Yield and Reliability.
- Reconfigurable and Adaptive Systems.
- High Speed Board Design.
- TCAD: Technology Modeling, Device Design and Simulation.
- Mobile Communication Systems.
- Platforms for Mobile Computing.
- Automotive electronics
- Verification and Debug of Embedded Applications.
- Software Development for Embedded Systems.

Tutorial submission guidelines:
Please submit proposals (in text for pdf format) to comprehensively cover the following details:
- Tutorial title and short summary (in about 200 words).
- Name, affiliation and contact details of the co-ordinating presenter and all other co-presenters.
- The targetted audience and prerequisites (in about 50 words).
- Keywords from those listed in the topics above, or otherwise.
- Detailed tutorial program, with a list of topics covered, a short description of each topic and the approximate time devoted to each topic (in about 2000 words). (Total duration of the tutorial will be six hours).
- Technical bibliography (with emphasis on the authors' works and other related works being covered).
- List of tutorial material to be provided to the attendees.
- Short biographical sketch of each presenter indicating previous experience in delivering lectures and tutorials, and expertise on the tutorial topic. (About 200 words for each presenter).

Co-ordinating presenters may please note the following:
(a) It is imperative that all presenters listed in the tutorial proposal be available for presentation on the day of the tutorial. (This can be either January 04 or 05, 2008). Hence, it is important that consent be obtained from all the presenters before making the tutorial proposal.
(b) The schedule for the submission of the camera ready material for the tutorials is constrained by several factors. Hence, upon acceptance, the camera ready material may please be made available by November 01, 2007.
(c) All tutorial proposals will undergo a peer review process. Hence the proposals must adhere to the format.
(d) All material from individual presenters must be collated and combined into a single tutorial presentation, as per the presentation guidelines (to be communicated at the time of acceptance).
(e) The conference will disburse an honorarium to the tutorial speakers (details to be communicated at the time of the acceptance). |
