Dr. Vipin Madangarli is the Deputy Director in charge of the overall Design Enablement group in GLOBALFOUNDRIES India. He joined GLOBALFOUNDRIES in July 2015 as a part of the acquisition of IBM Microelectronics division. In IBM he was the Sr. Manager responsible for IBM’s SRDC (Semiconductor Research and Development Centre) in Bangalore. He relocated from US after about 18yrs and joined IBM India in 2008 as the Manager of Technology Development Characterization team, and later took up responsibilities for managing the Compact Modeling team, Comp-Litho, eMemory andTCAD teams . He received his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from University of Kerala (India) in 1988 and Ph.D in Electrical & Computer Engineering from University of South Carolina (USA) in 1995. He has extensive experience in the field of semiconductor characterization as well as device modeling and has worked with several IDM’s and Foundries for process qualification, yield enhancement and RF device characterization
